Middle School Faith Formation
Faith Formation is offered for students in grades 6-8. The main goal is to make faith a 24/7 concept rather than something they think about once a week at church or twice a month in class. We use books, crafts, skits and any other tools we feel that will bring faith alive for them. Middle School is an exciting time as well as a time of extreme change, and we want to make faith a big part of their development during this dynamic period.
Lector Ministry
This ministry dates back to the early Church. It requires weekly preparation of both Sunday readings and, if assigned, daily mass readings for proclamation. Lectoring is not reading or public speaking. Lectors are expected to proclaim the Word of God so that the message of the Liturgy is clearly communicated to the congregation. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta seeks those with previous lector experience or the time and talent to become lectors.
Two training meetings are scheduled per year and attendance is mandatory for those wishing to be lectors at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta regardless of previous lector experience. For further information, please contact the Lector Ministry leaders.
The Finance Council
This council is an advisory council to Fr. Tom. We review the financial reports of the Parish and provide advice and council on our current financial condition and plans for the future. Our goal is to ensure we, as a Parish, are being good stewards of the financial gifts we have been given.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic service ministry that serves the needs of the community, locally, nationally, and internationally. This fraternal men’s organization has various sub organizations and events planned throughout the year. It allows its members various ways to serve.
Monthly business meetings are held at the worship center on the second Tuesday of the month.
